According to a report from AS, there is currently no plan from either David Alaba or Real Madrid to force a departure this summer.
Despite the ongoing concerns about his physical condition, the Austrian defender is committed to staying at the Santiago Bernabeu until the end of his contract, which runs until 2026.
Alaba, who has endured a long spell on the sidelines due to a serious cruciate ligament injury, has not played competitive football in over a year.
While he has returned to training, his recovery has been marred by recurring muscle problems, a common issue following such a significant knee injury.
The situation has naturally led to questions about whether he can regain his top level and contribute meaningfully to Carlo Ancelotti’s plans.
The Austrian remains one of the highest earners in the squad, with a salary reportedly close to €13 million net per season.

While this figure might seem excessive for a player whose future on the pitch remains uncertain, Real Madrid have decided not to push for an exit.
The club will honour the agreement it made with the former Bayern Munich man when he arrived in 2021, and the player is equally determined to see out his deal.
That said, there is a growing sense within the club that a parting of ways may be inevitable sooner rather than later.
Alaba’s injury record, coupled with the emergence of younger options like Eder Militao, Antonio Rudiger, and the presence of Raul Asencio and Dean Huijsen, has cast doubt on his role as a starter.
And with Real Madrid needing to manage their wage structure more carefully, especially after big signings, Alaba’s high salary is starting to feel unsustainable for a non-regular.
Still, it is clear that neither side wants to damage the strong relationship they have built. The player has always behaved professionally, and the club appreciates his leadership and experience in the dressing room.
