Real Madrid’s hopes of pushing for a late title charge were shattered, no thanks yet another defeat at the hands of Barcelona.
The Catalans secured a 4-3 win over Real Madrid at Montjuic, a game that not only ensured another humiliation for Los Blancos, but might have also led to yet another knock for star player Vinicius Junior.
As reported by Diario AS, Vinicius appeared to feel discomfort around the 75th minute, immediately after a sprint.
He asked to be subbed off, prompting Carlo Ancelotti to send Endrick to the touchline. But just as the change was about to happen, Vinicius had a change of heart and insisted he could continue, forcing Endrick to put his bib back on.
The 17-year-old would still get his chance nine minutes later, coming on for Lucas Vázquez in the 84th minute.

That led to a major tactical switch, with Fede Valverde dropping to right back and Madrid going all-out attack with four forwards.
However, the drama wasn’t over. In the 88th minute, Vinicius signaled once again that he could not continue, this time going off with clear pain in his foot.
Castilla forward Víctor Munoz came on for his senior debut and nearly made it 4-4 with his first touch, but couldn’t finish.
The report, therefore, claims that Vini has picked up a fresh knock against Barcelona, although it remains unclear whether or not it is a serious one or the discomfort was caused by mere fatigue.
Whatever may be the case, there is not much Vinicius can do as Real Madrid’s title dreams are practically over and the club will end the season with no major titles other than the UEFA Super Cup.
