RB Leipzig director turns the heat up on Barcelona in Dani Olmo negotiations | OneFootball

With a deal for Nico Williams pretty much dead, Barcelona have upped their interest in Dani Olmo over the last few days. Two offers have already been rejected by RB Leipzig, which has led to a third being submitted by the Catalan giants.

Olmo has agreed personal terms with his former club, whom he is desperate to re-join. However, he will not have the chance to do so until Leipzig’s valuation is met. Their sporting director, Rouven Schroder, has told Sky Sport Germany that they are under no pressure to accept any offer that comes their way from Barcelona.

“Dani has an incredible value for us – as a player and as a person. We are under no pressure to sell him. As things stands today, we expect Dani to return to us after his Euro vacation. Everything else remains to be seen.”

It’s been reported that Leipzig want €60m upfront, as they did when Olmo’s release clause was still active. So far, Barcelona have yet to reach this figure, which is why a deal has not yet been agreed upon.
