Rangers have announced the signing of Mikey Moore from Tottenham on a season-long loan, subject to international clearance.

The 17-year-old winger, who will turn 18 later this month, joins the Ibrox side as part of a significant summer rebuild under manager Russell Martin.

Moore has been with Tottenham since the age of seven and enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2024–25. He became the youngest player ever to feature for Spurs in the Premier League, making his debut at 16 years and 277 days. He also featured in the Europa League, scoring against IF Elfsborg in January to become the youngest English player to score in a major European competition, surpassing a record held by Jimmy Greaves.

In total, Moore made 21 senior appearances last season, including ten in the Premier League, and was part of the squad that lifted the Europa League trophy. Despite interest from several English Championship sides, including Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion, the teenager opted for a move to Glasgow, with Tottenham keen for him to gain experience at a high level.

The deal includes no option for Rangers to make the move permanent, and Tottenham will continue to cover Moore’s wages during his time in Scotland. The player expressed his excitement at the opportunity, saying that he was eager to join the club as soon as he learned of their interest. He also spoke of his admiration for Rangers, calling the decision to join a straightforward one.

Rangers boss Russell Martin welcomed the addition, describing Moore as a brave and aggressive attacking player with huge potential. He believes the youngster can contribute immediately despite his age. Sporting Director Kevin Thelwell echoed those sentiments, noting that the club will provide Moore with the right environment to challenge himself and continue his development.

Moore is not expected to be available for Rangers' Scottish Premiership opener against Motherwell this weekend due to the pending clearance. However, he is anticipated to join the first-team squad soon as Rangers look to build on their two-goal advantage over Panathinaikos in their Champions League qualifying tie. The signing marks another important step in Rangers' bid to strengthen their squad for both domestic and European campaigns.
