The end of the international break is in sight – just a few more days guys – but that still means some time to kill before we’re back in action fully.

It was a perfect day for GiveMeSport to drop a list which we can all argue about for a while to distract ourselves then. They went for a fun one – ranking the top 10 South American players in Chelsea history.

Looking at the list, there are actually fewer than one might think. We think of ourselves as the most cosmopolitan club out there, but the list shows that it’s only in the last few years we’ve started to see a regular South American streak.

You can see their list in the image embedded here:

A list of Chelsea’s top 10 South American players as suggested by GiveMeSport.

Well, there’s plenty to debate there, right?

Firstly, Moises Caicedo getting to 8 and Enzo Fernandez being nowhere to be seen will raise some eyebrows. Juliano Belletti was something of a cult hero and scored a couple of legendary goals, but he only ended up making a handful of appearances for the club, and Fernandez has already made far more.

Willian has always been a divisive figure, especially among fans online, but surely there can’t be much argument here. He has more appearances than anyone else on the list, won more trophies than most (if not all) and scored great and important goals in different competitions through the years.

We all love Ramires, but given Luiz had two successful spells at the club and given Thiago Silva’s impact, perhaps the midfielder could be dropped behind those two into fourth.

Hernan Crespo feels like he wasn’t around for long, but we were surprised to see that he ended up making 73  appearances for us in those two seasons.

What changes would you make to this list?
