Liverpool defenders had a great Monday night on international duty.
The Reds full-back Andy Robertson recreated another moment of inspiration for Scotland as he scored an injury-time winner against Poland.
It was a similar goal to the one he scored for Liverpool at Aston Villa a few years ago.
Liverpool teammate Conor Bradley, who was brilliant against Belarus, produced a magnificent performance for Northern Ireland in their 2-2 draw against Luxembourg.
Bradley has made six appearances for the Reds in the Premier League in 2024/25, but he has yet to start under Arne Slot.
Liverpool visit Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday, and Bradley could start in place of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who picked up a minor injury before the international break.
The 21-year-old has maintained enviable consistency for club and country in the past 12 months, and Liverpool fans will be excited to see his rapid progress.
Northern Ireland finished as group winners in the Nations League, but they will be disappointed with the result.
Isaac Price and Conor Bradley gave them a comfortable 2-0 lead, but two Luxembourg goals in three minutes changed everything.
The Reds defender had a glorious opportunity to make it 3-0 and kill the game, but he missed the chance, which he regretted afterwards.
The Belfast Telegraph described his goal as ‘terrific’ and added that he was full of ‘quality’ throughout the game. They gave him a 9/10 rating.
Bradley said: “I scored a goal and should have had two. I was really happy with the goal and to score in front of the Northern Ireland fans is something special and is something I will cherish.
“If I score the third goal for us it probably kills the game. It is something we can take massive learning from.
“We should be winning the game and dominated throughout except for those ten minutes, but they scored from a set piece and a wonderful finish, so hats off to them.
“It stunned us because we were in total control, and it was disappointing, but we got through the game after that and were able to top the group. We can learn from that and take it into the World Cup qualifiers.”
