Spain's imperious group stage performances at the Women's European Championships saw them score a record-equalling 14 goals, but one player has so far stood out above all.
In a team filled with world class players and so many of her Barcelona teammates, Alexia Putellas has looked a class apart in Switzerland.
Esther González may be the tournament's top scorer with four goals, but Putellas is just behind, and has four assists to go with her three goals.
One of her two brilliant assists in the 3-1 win over Italy on Friday night was to González, which, alongside other incredible numbers, only adds to the idea that she is the chief conductor for the world champions this summer.
A two-time Ballon d'Or winner, the 31-year-old is reminding everyone that she is still at that level, and could yet add a EUROs title to an ever-expanding trophy cabinet.
