Manchester City are expected to loan out one of Europe’s top young strikers having recruited the teenager from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.

It is the latest in a long line of developments concerning Manchester City’s extremely highly-rated youth roster, with the ongoing summer market bringing about a wealth of alterations both in the way of arrivals and departures.

While the City Football Academy will predominantly viewed as a development path towards Pep Guardiola’s senior first-team squad, the system also holds a place as a much-needed revenue source for the club in selling on talents elsewhere in the game.

Among the names to have moved on from the system and make strong careers elsewhere in European football are Chelsea’s Romeo Lavia, Tosin Adarabioyo, Liam Delap, and Cole Palmer, as well as Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

But with sales comes an urgent need to strengthen options once more, and while the conveyor belt of talent from the local region is held in high regard within the club, there remains a willingness to invest in talents from further afield.

Now, according to the information of journalist Duncan Castles, Manchester City are set to pay training compensation to Paris Saint-Germain for 18-year-old striker Mahamadou Sangare, who is expected to then be loaned out to another City Football Group side.

Castles has also revealed, “The guidance I have from the Paris end is that they are not unhappy about that, they decided not to keep the player having integrated him into first-team training under Luis Enrique this season.

“And Luis Enrique making the decision that he didn’t fit their attacking style of play. He’s a very direct forward, not a tall forward but direct, likes to run straight at goal, has scored well at youth level this season.

“But Paris did not fight to retain the player, I’m told, and actually their expectation is that Sangare probably won’t be registered as a Manchester City player this season and will be loaned out to one of the other City Football Group clubs.”

The same report also indicates that Manchester City plan to loan Sverre Nypan out, having agreed a fee of €14.6 million with Rosenborg for the Norwegian youth midfielder after competition from various other Premier League clubs.

Among the sides Manchester City are believed to have beaten to the signing of the teenage midfielder are Aston Villa and Arsenal, with the latter hosting the player and his immediate entourage earlier this year for talks.

As for City, they welcomed the player and his team at the same time, hosting him at their Premier League victory over Chelsea, accompanied by super-agent Rafaela Pimenta within Erling Haaland’s corporate box at the Etihad Stadium.

For now, it remains to be seen where Sverre Nypan will end up on a temporary agreement, although the current understanding in some quarters is that such a move will not be towards La Liga and City Football Group-owned Girona.
