PSG set conditions for Manuel Ugarte’s Manchester United move | OneFootball

Manuel Ugarte (23) only arrived at Paris Saint-Germain last summer for a considerable €60m fee from Sporting, however, it is no secret that he may be on the move again this summer.

The Uruguayan began life at PSG brightly, featuring prominently under Luis Enrique in the opening weeks of the season, however, his limits in possession saw him move down the pecking order. Game time risks being even more limited next season with the imminent arrival of João Neves and that of Gabriel Moscardo, whose move to PSG is already complete, adding yet further competition in an already stacked midfield.

Ugarte is therefore one of the players that PSG are looking to sell. However, the reigning Ligue 1 champions don’t want to lose money on their investment. Manchester United have been in discussions to sign the midfielder for several weeks, however, they are yet to find an agreement with PSG.

L’Équipe understands that Les Parisiens would now be willing to accept a paid loan for Ugarte, with a lucrative purchase offer included, in order to avoid making a loss on the €60m they paid last summer.
