Manuel Ugarte (23) is expected to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer amid interest from Manchester United. Regardless of the Uruguay international’s future, PSG were always in the market for midfield reinforcements this summer. Amid difficulties in the deal to sign João Neves (19), Les Parisiens are renewing their interest in Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich (29), according to a report from RMC Sport.

Neves is Luis Enrique’s priority in midfield, however, Benfica are demanding around €100m for the Portuguese international, amid interest from clubs across Europe. Those demands are forcing PSG to look elsewhere in their pursuit of midfield reinforcements.

Manchester City also interested in Kimmich

Les Parisiens have a long-standing interest in Kimmich, which has now been re-ignited. Negotiations between PSG and the Germany international are ongoing, according to RMC Sport. Bayern Munich are open to selling the midfielder this summer, with the arrival of João Palhinha from Fulham set to be confirmed.

However, PSG may face competition for Kimmich’s signature, with multiple clubs, including Manchester City, also interested.
