Paris Saint-Germain fought back to beat Brest 3-1 on Saturday.
Scorers: Dembélé 42′, 74′, Ruiz 73′; Del Castillo 29′ (P)
PSG controlled the pitch at the Parc des Princes, with Nuno Mendes and Marco Asensio impressing in the early moments. However, Brest were allowed to grow into the game and subsequently grabbed the lead.
The aforementioned Portugal international brought Ludo’ Ajorque down in the area, and the visitors were awarded a penalty. Romain Del Castillo then beat Gianluigi Donnarumma, and the home fans were silenced.
It was after that mistake that PSG found their touch. With an uncharacteristic header, Ousmane Dembélé continued his strong form from the international break and equalised just before half-time.
With a shock draw in sight, Brest kept the French giants at bay until roughly 15 minutes left in the game. An un-marked Fabián Ruiz picked up the ball from outside the box and blasted home into the top left corner for the lead.
PSG eventually put the game away when Dembélé scored a third goal seconds later, making it four goals and three assists for club and country.
The result means the Parisian club sit at the top of Ligue 1 with four wins from four, while Brest are 12th.
