Sparta Prague have announced the return of Brian Priske, as per VoetbalPrimeur. It is the Danish coach’s first job after he was fired by Feyenoord at the beginning of this calendar year.
Priske makes a quick reunion with Sparta Prague with this return. The 48-year-old trainer made the switch from the Czech giants to Feyenoord a little over a year ago, where he was fired in February due to inconsistency in form.
The coach spoke with Tomas Sivok, acting technical director of Sparta Prague, last weekend. It seems his former club were quick to get a homecoming moving. Priske won two national titles in the Czech capital, won the Letná Cup and even claimed the double in his second season.
Priske replaces countryman Lars Friis at Sparta Prague. The former Feyenoord boss was recently linked to VfL Wolfsburg. He was even said to have been the favourite there for a while. Rangers were also said to have been in the running for Priske for a while, but eventually chose Russell Martin instead.
