Ricardo Pepi is ‘one to watch’ in the January transfer window with the in-form forward ‘a chance’ to leave PSV Eindhoven.
Pepi is set to spark a bidding war for his services in the winter window after a brilliant start to the season with the Dutch champions.
The 21-year-old has scored six league goals despite starting just three times for PSV, averaging an Eredivisie goal every 70 minutes.
He continued his form during the international break with two goals in two games as the USA beat Jamaica in the Concacaf Nations League quarter-finals.
A number of Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation and Fabrizio Romano has revealed there is a chance Pepi could leave if a suitable offer arrives in January. The presence of Luuk de Jong has restricted his minutes for Peter Bosz’s side and Pepi could explore new opportunities when the transfer window opens.
Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are among the top clubs linked with a potential deal for a player valued in the region of €25m in Eindhoven. The Football Faithful understands that West Ham have also checked in on his progress.
The Texas-born forward is viewed as one of the most exciting talents in the USMNT and has already scored 13 goals in 31 caps for the Stars and Stripes.
