According to Daily Mail (via MARCA), it has come to light that Barcelona’s pursuit of Marcus Rashford is set to take a crucial turn.
This is because the England international is scheduled to meet with Manchester United to discuss his future, as both parties prepare to make important decisions in the coming days.
Barcelona’s search for a new left-winger has been a rollercoaster this summer. After failing to sign Nico Williams and facing financial roadblocks in their bid for Luis Diaz, the Blaugrana have now made Rashford their top target.
From a financial and sporting perspective, Rashford is currently the most realistic option for Barça.
The player’s representatives are expected to sit down with Manchester United soon to understand the club’s stance. The talks will revolve around possible transfer options, including a loan deal with an option to buy.
For now, Rashford still has three years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, but United are open to negotiating his departure.

Rashford has reportedly made it clear that he is eager to join Barcelona, having turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia.
Throughout the summer, the English forward has dropped multiple hints about his desire to wear the Blaugrana shirt. With Manchester United also willing to consider his exit, the move is starting to gain traction.
For now, Barcelona are working on two possible signings – Rashford and Luis Diaz. However, with Bayern Munich pushing for Diaz and Liverpool asking for a high transfer fee, Rashford appears to be the more feasible option.
This is not a simple operation, though. Several steps remain, starting with Rashford’s meeting with United to clarify the terms of his potential departure.
This summit will happen in the coming hours and could define the next chapter of Barcelona’s transfer window.
