This is how the Premier League form table looks on Saturday.
Worth a look for all Newcastle United fans.
Eddie Howe’s team now facing Manchester United next in the Premier League.
A massive week or so in general coming up for Newcastle United.
Monday’s Man U game at Old Trafford is then followed by another Premier League away match at Spurs, before Arsenal away in the semi-final first leg of the League Cup.
Here is the updated Premier League form table on Saturday, which covers the past six matches for all teams:
The last six PL results for Newcastle United with very latest one listed first:
Newcastle 3 Aston Villa 0
Ipswich 0 Newcastle 4
Newcastle 4 Leicester 0
Brentford 4 Newcastle 2
Newcastle 3 Liverpool 3
Palace 1 Newcastle 1
As you can see, Newcastle United now in sixth place in this newly updated Premier League form table.
NUFC with eleven points from three wins, two draws and just the one defeat, with seventeen goals scored and eight conceded.
Forest are the only other team to have won their last three PL matches.
As for Monday’s opponents, these are Man U’s last six PL matches, the very most recent listed first:
Wolves 2 Man U 0
Man U 0 Bournemouth 3
Man City 1 Man U 2
Man U 2 Forest 3
Arsenal 2 Man U 0
Man U 4 Everton 0
So Manchester United fourteenth in the Premier League form table with six points from two wins, zero draws and four defeats, scoring eight and conceding fifteen.
Only Southampton have picked up less points than Man U in the last five PL matches.
This is how the full Premier League table currently now looks on Wednesday 11 December 2024:
The Premier League form table very much reflects the full current PL table for the two clubs, with Man U placed 14th in both, whilst United are one place higher in fifth in the full PL table, than their sixth in the Premier League form table.
In their last six games in domestic competitions, Man U have lost five and conceded 15 goals.
Whilst for Newcastle United in their last four games (all competitions) it is four wins out of four and 14 goals scored.
The only question now is, can Eddie Howe and his players press home this advantage in class and form at Old Trafford?
