Barcelona have identified Luis Diaz as the big summer target this year as they look to add more reinforcements in the offensive unit.
Diaz is rated highly by the coaching staff due to his dynamism and versatility, which goes in line with Barça’s desire to add more competition to their offensive trifecta.
The Colombian international has even hinted at his desire to join the club by following the Barcelona page on Instagram recently.
However, a recent report from SPORT suggests Barcelona might have to break the bank if they are to sign Diaz this summer.
That is because Liverpool have slapped an €80 million price tag on the Colombian winger, though internally, the Reds are open to lowering the fee if a serious proposal is made.
The Premier League giants are preparing for a major shake-up in attack, especially after bringing in Florian Wirtz. They are also chasing a high-profile attacker, with Bradley Barcola and Alexander Isak reportedly on the radar.

Diaz is reportedly not in Liverpool’s long-term plans, and the Merseyside club are willing to cash in now while his value remains high.
With no contract renewal in sight and his current deal expiring in 2027, this summer could be the ideal time for a move.
Barça, for their part, are confident of getting the deal done for around €60–65 million, thanks to Diaz’s firm stance.
The player has made it clear he only wants to join Barcelona and has turned down lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia. So the coming days could prove to be crucial as Barça look to reach an agreement with the Reds.
