(A score of 6 is around average)

Dermot Mee – 6.5 – Made a top save early on in the match before rarely being called into question again.

Jaydan Kamason – 6.5 – United favoured the left side of the pitch so he wasn’t involved that much, but was comfortable in possession when he was and defended well 1v1 with good pace.

Louis Jackson – 6.5 – Had a shaky moment or two where he misjudged the flight of the ball but defended well afterwards, in particular with his front foot defending, stepping up into midfield to apply pressure and stick a foot in.

Jack Kingdon – 7 – Another solid display at the back from Kingdon, anything that came his way was cleared with relative ease. Strong in the air, on the ground, and in possession. He is making a really strong case for a loan move in January as the offers must be lining up after recent performances.

Sam Murray – 6.5 – Troubled a bit with runs in behind early on but settled into the match as it went on and looked really composed in possession, moving the ball quickly and securely.

Dan Gore – 7.5 – One of the best players on the pitch as he continues his return from injury. Linked up really well with Fletcher and was good driving into space and riding challenges. Most impressive perhaps though was his pressing, despite playing as the deepest midfielder he got high up the pitch out of possession and did well numerous times to nip in and steal the ball in dangerous positions.

Jack Moorhouse – 6 – Drifted more to the right side of midfield which didn’t see the ball as much as the left so wasn’t involved as much. But threatened the odd time he did pick it up with good dribbling in tight spaces.

Amir Ibragimov – 7.5 – Again wasn’t consistently involved in the first half as the left side was favoured but he worked hard pressing and tracking back. Saw a bit more of the ball in the latter stages when he moved to a central role, from which he scored the winner with a nice long range effort from over 20 yards.

Jack Fletcher – 7.5 – The puller of the strings in midfield, he impressed a lot in a free role which saw him popping up in all areas of the pitch. Worked well with Gore in midfield as well as having a lot of good combinations with Ennis on the left wing. Found space on the overlap to get to the byline to provide cutbacks into the box which would have got him an assist on another day.

Ethan Ennis – 7 – Lively down the left wing, he was the focal point of United’s attacks with a number of dangerously whipped in crosses into the box and came close to scoring one late on when he hit the post.

Ethan Wheatley – 6 – Good movement to get into space and on the end of chances but it wasn’t his night in terms of finishing.

Substitutes

Tommy Rowe – 6 – Slotted in at left back as United controlled the latter stages.

Jacob Devaney – 6.5 – Kept it simple in midfield and did his job well to allow Fletcher the freedom in midfield to get forward.

Bendito Mantato – 6 – Looked to make a couple of runs on the right wing but never really opened up for him.

Chido Obi – 7 – Was only on the pitch for a little over 10 minutes but he made a big impact in the decisive areas. Provided the lay off assist for Ibragimov’s goal before almost getting another for his cross to Ennis. Handled the physicality well with his hold up play and looked dangerous every time he was involved.
