One journalist is suggesting that Chelsea may well still make a move to sign striker Benjamin Sesko this summer.

The Blues could still look to do some big business in the remaining weeks of this transfer window, and it continues to be the attack that is most talked about right now.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea make contact to sign Crystal Palace star player this window!

Enzo Maresca clearly wants to add more attackers to the ranks despite already signing Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap, and Joao Pedro this window.

The Athletic have stated though, that just because Chelsea earned some big revenue by winning the Club World Cup, transfer plans at the club are not expected to change and they will stick with the plans they have already.

Chelsea have also made a late enquiry to sign a new defender in the latter stages of this summer transfer window as well as things heat up.

Benjamin Sesko battles for the ball.

RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko was on Chelsea’s transfer shortlist at the start of this window and there was a lot of noise about him potentially arriving at the club this window.

However, that noise soon died off and Chelsea seemingly turned to other targets such as Delap and Pedro. But could they still make a move to sign Sesko as well? Potentially, yes…

Back on the scene?

Journalist Ben Jacobs hints that Chelsea could pivot back to Sesko should they end up selling current striker Nicolas Jackson this window.

He has seemingly been speaking to Chelsea content creator Alex Goldberg this week, and as relayed on X, he said:

“If Chelsea sell Nicolas Jackson AND Christopher Nkunku, then you maybe could see Chelsea pivot back to someone like Benjamin Sesko even though they ruled him out before, because they may feel like they need two out and out proper number 9’s.”
