A pair of photos of Barcelona star Marc Bernal spaced one year apart have turned heads online this week.

As much comes with the 18-year-old having made use of his time away from the pitch to build a muscular new physique.

Midfielder Bernal is for his part fresh off a return to training in Barcelona, following almost a year on the sidelines.

Fresh off exploding onto the first-team stage early last season, the youngster suffered a devastating ACL injury, ruling him out for the remainder of the term.

Bernal, though, as alluded to above, made use of this time to work on other aspects of his game.

Specifically, the Spaniard bulked up significantly, to ensure that he is better prepared to deal with the physical demands of senior football.
