Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly eyeing a move for Real Madrid’s promising defender Raul Asencio.

According to Real Madrid Confidencial, Guardiola has identified Asencio as a key target and intends to make a move for him, alongside Rodrygo, in the next transfer window.

It must be noted that this season has been far from ideal for Guardiola, with Manchester City struggling to meet expectations.

Their inconsistent performances have put the manager in a difficult position, forcing him to explore new options to strengthen the squad for the upcoming campaign.

With the current season seemingly slipping away, Guardiola is already planning ahead, and one of his main objectives is securing top-tier talent.
