Pedulla: ‘Atalanta Haven’t Promised Ademola Lookman He Can Leave For €40M’ Amid Inter Milan Links | OneFootball

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Atalanta “haven’t promised” Ademola Lookman that he can leave for €40 million this summer.

Pedulla reported, via FCInter1908, that Inter Milan could instead sign the 27-year-old for a fee of around €45 million plus add-ons.

Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has been the subject of intense transfer speculation recently.

It has long seemed clear that the Nigerian would leave the Gewiss Arena this summer.

And over the last few days, Inter Milan have emerged as the clear frontrunners to sign Lookman.

Inter’s opening bid for Ademola Lookman yesterday was €40 million. Atalanta rejected this offer, however, reportedly asking for around €50 million instead.

This in spite of some rumours that Atalanta had promised Lookman he could leave this summer for a fee of €40 million.

That is reportedly the number that the Nigerian international’s representatives gave to Inter.

SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla summarized the situation. “First point,” he said. “There’s no doubt that he’s top of Inter’s shortlist.”

“Then, a second point: There’s no record that an amount was given last summer when Lookman was pushing for an exit.”

“Atalanta told him, stay here, remain calm, and we’ll see next summer,” Pedulla stated.

“It’s up to Atalanta to name the price,” he added. “Inter know that there’s no promise of €40 million.”

“I think they can do the deal though. That’s the feeling I have after making some checks. For €45 million plus €5-7 million in easily achievable add-ons.”

“At that point, Atalanta wouldn’t put up any resistance to Inter,” said Pedulla.

“Right now, the player is focused on Inter. He’s only thinking about Inter, and he’d like to be sold.”

Meanwhile, Pedulla reported that “The future of Thuram isn’t linked to Lookman.”

“Inter want Thuram and Lookman playing behind Lautaro,” he anticipated.

“I can also reveal that there’s already an agreement between Lookman’s entourage and Inter,” Pedulla added. “€5 million net per season plus add-ons, full agreement.”
