Not exactly the best football that Barcelona has ever showcased, but enough to get through Sevilla. The Catalan giants have managed to grab the three points they needed from this game, and did so convincingly. With this victory, Barcelona are now well and truly back in the title race for La Liga.
Goals from Robert Lewandowski, Fermin Lopez, Raphinha, and Eric Garcia were ultimately enough to beat Sevilla despite not being at home. By showing up in the moments that they needed to, Hansi Flick’s men grabbed their opportunities and made them count.
Here are the player ratings for the Barcelona players.
Player Ratings:
Wojciech Szczesny: 7.5
The Polish goalkeeper was solid today, as his saves were neat and tidy but his ball-playing and distribution left something to be desired at times. However, his ability to defend the Barça goal was commendable.
Jules Kounde: 7.0
Not his best night, but neither was it his worst. The Frenchman was solid enough for Barcelona in this game to help see out a positive result. His distribution was reliable and he had his defensive contributions as well.
Ronald Araujo: N/A
Had to be substituted early in the first-half, so a rating would not be justified.
Inigo Martinez: 8.0
Grabbed an assist by heading the ball directly towards teammate Robert Lewandowski, and was strong ever since. Defended like a warrior, even in the final moments of the game. Solid.
Alejandro Balde: 7.0
Energetic on the left flank, and did his best despite not always being successful. However, he had his issues in terms of winning his duels and was not always effective as well in terms of his dribbling tonight.
Pedri: 9.0
Yet again, a masterclass of a performance by Pedri. Orchestrating play from front to back, the Spanish midfielder continues to showcase game after game why his position as one of Europe’s finest is not even questionable. Grabbed a beautiful assist but also created many other chances for his teammates as well.
Frenkie de Jong: 7.5
Was a solid partner for Pedri in midfield, and helped Barça in retaining possession and control when they needed it. His resurgence this year continues, and the Dutchman remains a great choice for Hansi Flick in midfield.
Lamine Yamal: 7.0
The youngster has had much better games for Barcelona, and it was just simply not his night in terms of his final output. However, his dribbling was still always a threat for Sevilla to deal with.
Gavi: 6.5
A bit lethargic and sluggish at times, his input was a bit frustrating at times. However, due to a yellow card and possibly not being his night, the Spaniard was taken off at half-time as well.
Raphinha: 8.0
Ran as much as he could for the team and gave all he could for Hansi Flick’s side. Managed to grab a brilliant goal as well which was perhaps even more impressive than usual considering that he scored it with his weaker foot.
Robert Lewandowski: 7.5
Opened the scoring for Barcelona on his return to the starting eleven, and made sure to leave his mark. Had a solid outing all around, but his goal was the first step towards the Catalan giants starting to get into their groove.

Substitutes:
Pau Cubarsi: 8.0
Brilliant since stepping onto the pitch, the young Spaniard was a blessing for Barcelona. Sevilla simply could not get past him and his composure on the ball, and it was quite comfortable for Hansi Flick’s side with him on the pitch. Even managed to grab the assist for Raphinha’s goal.
Fermin Lopez: 5.0
Scored a goal soon after coming on, but also ended up leaving the pitch later on due to a red card that came from a reckless challenge from the Spaniard.
Eric Garcia: 7.0
Defensively solid after coming on, and even managed to grab a late goal to give Barça their fourth of the night.
Dani Olmo: 6.5
Came on and made a difference with how he orchestrated play through the middle. His control and composure were clear elements that Barça needed in that position.
