Paris Saint-Germain ace Achraf Hakimi praised high-performing Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries ahead of the Champions League final.
Speaking to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the Morocco international even admitted he ‘envies’ his Nerazzurri counterpart about one thing.
Achraf Hakimi only spent one season at San Siro, yet it was enough to etch his name in Inter folklore.
Indeed, he won the Scudetto in 2020/21 under Antonio Conte before completing a big-money move to Paris.
Les Parisiens paid Inter around €60 million to sign one of the world’s best fullbacks, and it’s been a massive hit.
Over the past four years, he has become one of the symbols of the club, becoming the vice-captain in the process.
Meanwhile, Inter opted for Denzel Dumfries to fill the void, and the Dutchman is a gift that keeps on giving.
However, the two will be on opposite sides in the 2025 Champions League final.

No stranger to the occasion, Hakimi won the most prestigious European title in the early stages of his Real Madrid career.
“I think I’m calm, I do everything I do every day,” Hakimi admitted. “And I won a Champions League in 2018 with Real Madrid but I was very young.
“I remember watching people with more experience to know what to do the day I would return to live this moment.”
However, he wasn’t a protagonist in the final. That could change on May 31 when his PSG side meets Inter.
Meanwhile, Hakimi admits he has yet to get in touch with his former teammates.
“Not yet, but Lautaro and I share the same agency.
“He spoke with my agent, we exchanged a few messages, but we haven’t actually talked yet.
“It’ll happen in the coming days. Inter have a very important match to try and win the Scudetto.
“So I’ll wait to speak with him. He has to do his job for Inter, and I have to do mine for Paris. We both need to stay focused.”
Finally, he praised Dumfries’ impressive goalscoring knack and outstanding aerial ability.
“I’ve seen that he’s scored a lot, but it’s easier in a back five; in a back four, it’s different.
“That said, Denzel is a great player. I really like how strong he is in the air.
“He’s excellent at scoring headers, while I’m terrible at that. That’s the one skill I’d take from him.”
