Paredes to meet with Boca Juniors ahead of Roma exit | OneFootball

Leandro Paredes will likely leave Roma in this transfer session.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport writes that the Argentine midfielder is very close to making his return to Boca Juniors.

Paredes is considered a bad fit for Gian Piero Gasperini’s midfield – the ex-Atalanta coach wants a more dynamic playmaker and has given the go-ahead of Paredes’ departure.

Today Riquelme, president of Boca Juniors, will meet the midfielder immediately after Argentina’s match against Colombia, valid for the qualifications for the next World Cup.

The goal is to find a compromise on Paredes’ salary, who earns around 2.5 million euros at Roma.

Once an agreement is reached, Boca will exploit the clause, paying just over 3.5 million to Roma.
