Chelsea are back in Conference League action tonight when they travel to Athens to meet Greek giants Panathinaikos. The Blues are favourites for the competition but it remains to be seen how seriously head coach Enzo Maresca takes the tournament, with the Italian no doubt keen to make inroads into the upper echelons of the Premier League. Still, the Conference League does look like the best chance to securing the first piece of silverware in the Clearlake Capital era.

Maresca certainly has the resources to battle across a number of fronts. All of Cole Palmer, Reece James, Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia and Nicolas Jackson have been rested but Chelsea will likely still field a side the envy of most teams in the competition.

However, Greek football has been on the rise of late and it will be an emotionally-charged occasion, with Panathinaikos playing their first home game since the tragic passing of defender George Baldock.
