Ousmane Dembélé (28) continues to train individually as he returns from a muscular injury. Having missed Paris Saint-Germain’s FIFA Club World Cup opener against Atlético Madrid (4-0), he looks set to miss out once again against Botafogo.
Dembélé was injured while on international duty with the France national team. He is yet to recover, and initial estimates indicated that he would miss all of PSG’s group stage matches in the Club World Cup. On Monday, he continued to train away from the first team.
However, there was a returnee. Like Dembélé, Bradley Barcola (22) missed PSG’s opener at the Rose Bowl. Like his compatriot, he was injured whilst on duty with Les Bleus. His minor knee injury saw him miss out last week, however, as reported by L’Équipe, he trained with his teammates on Monday.
Barcola could, therefore, be in contention to face Botafogo on Friday. PSG close out their group stage against Seattle Sounders on Monday.
