Franco Ordine has taken stock of the Scudetto picture, and it is not good news for AC Milan fans, after a disappointing start.
Milan’s season is difficult to be positive about, at least so far. Of course, we can look to the wins against Real Madrid and Inter – who have both been in a Champions League final in recent years. However, these can be countered by results like the one against Parma.
Already, the Rossoneri find themselves eight points away from the league leaders Napoli, and whilst they have a game in hand against Bologna, this would only lessen the gap to five points. In other words, there is a mountain to climb regardless of the outcome of the game in hand.
This is not the focus of the squad, and when speaking to the press, the squad have consistently stated they are still aiming for the Scudetto.
The ongoing international break offers a good chance to evaluate things as they stand, and during this morning’s episode of Maracana hosted by TMW, Ordine spoke about Milan’s season so far, and Milan News have relayed his words.
“The Scudetto? It is not credible. First of all because it has to take into account that it still has a game to make up, it is distant from the summit and from the pursuers of Napoli. Then so far it has proven to be an unreliable team. And then unpredictable and indefensible.”
