Although they were not able to get a win, FC Barcelona still played a highly entertaining game as they faced Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final tie at theLluís Companys Olympic Stadium on Tuesday.

The Catalan side had some unlikely players scoring for them in that game. After Pedri’s first goal, both Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez, the two centre-backs in Hansi Flick’s team in that game, also got on the scoresheet to take their side ahead for the first time in the match.

In fact, the La Masia graduate scored his first-ever goal with the Blaugrana team, since having made his debut under Xavi Hernandez around a year ago. His goal was also key as it equalised the scores for Barcelona after they had fallen to a two-goal deficit early in the game.

Following this goal from Cubarsi, Mundo Deportivo reports that there is now only one player left in the first team who is yet to get on the scoresheet, i.e., the midfielder Marc Casado.

Gerard Martin, Marc Bernal, and Hector Fort do not count in this aspect, as they have only a reserve team number. Casado himself got a first-team number only around 6 months ago, and goalscoring is not one of his strongest attributes.

However, he makes up for his lack of goals with his other key contributions in the middle of the pitch. Even though he has not yet scored himself, he has already assisted his teammates 6 times this season.

Furthermore, the coaching staff also does not ask him to score goals. In fact, he has not gotten on the scoresheet since his time with Juvenil A in the 2021-22 season, when he scored 3 goals in the División de Honor.

Casado was unable to open a scoring account after his promotion to Barca Atletic and the same remains true for his time with the first team.
