The Barcelona preseason tour can be regarded as a big success for the club. Following their recent win over Daegu FC, the Catalan giants have finished the tour with a perfect record. It also highlighted the roles that most of the Barcelona players will have next season.
Across the last three games, it was clear to see that there were some players who still needed to earn Hansi Flick’s trust, while others were seen as undisputed starters. These assessments could prove to be crucial, moreover, considering that the end of the summer transfer window is also approaching.
As highlighted by SPORT, there were four clear untouchables for Hansi Flick during this tour and one other player who seems to have been given a clear message to find a way out. The four players in question were the ones who started all three games.
On the right wing, Lamine Yamal remains undisputed and promises to reach new heights as Barça’s number ‘10’. Similarly, on the left, Raphinha retains his place as the left-winger but clearly needs to sharpen up before the start of the season.
In defense, Alejandro Balde also started all three games for Barcelona. Alongside him, Joan Garcia was also untouchable for Flick as a starter in all three games that Barça played in Asia.

One player who did not play at all, however, was Spanish goalkeeper Inaki Pena. Even in the final moments of the last game against Daegu FC, Diego Kochen was given minutes, but Inaki Pena was again left out. As it stands, it seems to be a clear enough indication from Hansi Flick that Pena will not be important next season.
In recent weeks, various reports have linked the Spaniard to different clubs. Celta Vigo emerged as a potential destination recently, but it remains to be seen where the Barcelona goalkeeper ends up by the end of the summer.
