A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid provided the club with plenty of reason for positivity by way of his latest showing.

That’s according to Blancos insider Javier Rodríguez Pascual, who points towards Éder Militão as the player in question.

For those not aware, Real Madrid were back in action on Friday morning.

Amid ongoing preparations for the start of the new La Liga campaign, Xabi Alonso’s troops faced off with La Liga 2 outfit Leganés in a behind-closed-doors friendly clash.

The aforementioned Militão played his part in the fixture, another important step in his ongoing recovery from an ACL injury.

And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, the Brazilian’s performance was hugely encouraging.

As revealed by the aforementioned Javier Rodríguez Pascual:

‘Militão was the best news of the match vs Leganés. He reminded us of the Militão from before.’

Defensive excellence aside, Real Madrid’s defensive stalwart also conjured up a moment of brilliance on the attacking front against Leganés, as showcased in the footage below:
