‘One of the best’ – Monaco star heaps praise on Barcelona boss Hansi Flick | OneFootball

A leading member of the midfield ranks at AS Monaco has on Wednesday moved to reveal his admiration for Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick.

This, of course, comes ahead of the impending meeting between the sides on the continent.

Barcelona are primed to make the trip to France on Thursday, to kick the club’s Champions League campaign into gear in a meeting with the aforementioned Monaco.

The Blaugrana, of course, will head into proceedings hopeful of carrying their early-season domestic form into Europe.

Under the watch of new manager Hansi Flick, the Catalans have enjoyed a rampant few weeks on the La Liga front, notching a perfect five wins from five, and racking up 17 goals along the way.

Speaking to the media in anticipation of his side’s Stade Louis II showdown with Barca, Monaco captain Denis Zakaria was in turn drawn on the start to life to have been enjoyed by the Blaugrana’s new headmaster.

And Swiss international Zakaria made use of the opportunity to hail Flick’s talents, in responding:

“I’ve been watching Hansi Flick’s first matches and I liked them a lot. He’s proven to be one of the best coaches.”
