According to L’Équipe, Olympique Marseille have enquired about the possibility of loaning in Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel until the end of the season.
Earlier in the transfer window, reports had linked Chelsea with a winter move for the French striker, with Christopher Nkunku moving in the other direction to Bavaria.
However, Tel has made it clear that he sees his future with Der Rekordmeister and has stated he does not wish to leave on a permanent basis.
A loan move until the end of the campaign is also reportedly not a priority for Tel, but with game time key to his development, Bayern may look to offload the 19-year-old until the end of the campaign.
It is understood that Marseille are keen to secure Tel’s services as they look to find a replacement for Elye Wahi, who is close to completing a move to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Nevertheless, Borussia Dortmund target, Marcus Rashford, is also on Marseille’s radar should Tel refuse to depart Bavaria this winter.
