Mahdi Camara faces criticism at OGC Nice after snubbing the club to sign for Rennes.

During a press conference this Friday, Franck Haise, coach of Les Aiglons, addressed OGC Nice's transfer window. "We can't spend 15 million on transfers, so we have to recruit players who actually want to join us," he said, taking a jab at Mahdi Camara.

The former Brest midfielder was, in fact, very close to joining Nice. However, he ultimately decided to sign with Stade Rennais, who offered him a better salary package. A decision that did not sit well with the Nice coach: "Regarding Mahdi Camara, as long as a player hasn't signed his contract, anything can still happen. I can't prevent another club from showing interest in a player. Maybe we could have done the same. But when a player goes back on his word, it's a question of values."
