Official: Vinícius out as Real Madrid name XI to face Villarreal | OneFootball

The XI of players tasked with getting the better of Villarreal by the Real Madrid coaching staff has on Saturday evening been unveiled online.

Real, of course, are primed to return to action in short order.

Fresh off booking their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League in midweek, Los Blancos have made the trip to La Ceràmica, for a La Liga meeting with the aforementioned Villarreal.

The reigning Spanish champions will head into the matchup in the knowledge that a victory would see them, at least temporarily, climb back to the top of the table.

Despite his side having taken to the pitch less than 72 hours ago, boss Carlo Ancelotti, in turn, has made the call to select a strong line-up of players on Saturday.

The most noteworthy changes come at centre-back and on the left wing, with Antonio Rüdiger and Vinícius Jr. afforded well-earned rests.
