Roma have officially announced the signing of talented young defender Jan Ziolkowski on a permanent deal from Legia Warsaw.
The 20-year-old centre-back has joined in a deal reported to be worth €6m plus add-ons according to reports earlier in the week. Legia Warsaw will also be entitled to a 10% sell-on clause.
It is understood that Ziolkowski has put pen to paper on a five-year contract, which will run until the summer of 2030.
Roma have confirmed that he will wear the no.24 shirt for his first season at the Stadio Olimpico.

He becomes Roma’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window following the previous arrivals of Wesley Franca, Neil El-Aynaoui, Leon Bailey, Evan Ferguson, Daniele Ghilardi and Devis Vasquez.
Roma announced the signing of Ziolkowski with the following statement on the club website: “AS Roma is pleased to announce the signing of Jan Ziolkowski from Legia Warsaw on a permanent transfer.
“The 20-year-old centre-back came through the Polonia Warsaw academy before moving to Legia in 2022.

“He broke into the first-team during the 2024/25 season and has since featured regularly in the Ekstraklasa (Polish top flight) and European competitions.
“Ziolkowski has chosen to wear the No.24 jersey at Roma. Welcome to Rome, Jan!”
Head coach Gian Piero Gasperini also spoke about the signing of Ziolkowski during his pre-match press conference on Friday, hinting that the player was identified and brought over to the club by sporting director Ricky Massara, rather than being a player that was requested by the coaching staff.
“Massara discovered Ziolkowski,” Gasperini said.
“I trust him. I’ve only seen him on video. He will certainly have room, we will see what his development will be like. We hope he can reach a high level.”
