Real Madrid defender Lorenzo Aguado has left the club and signed for Albacete, penning a three-year deal, the lower-league outfit has announced.

A product of La Fabrica, the 22-year-old right-back enjoyed a steady rise through the ranks at the club, before making his first-team debut last season under Carlo Ancelotti.

Aguado made three senior appearances for Real Madrid while featuring more than 30 times for Castilla during his time at the club.

However, with Dani Carvajal and Trent Alexander-Arnold firmly ahead of him in the first-team setup and his cycle at Castilla now over, the defender has opted to move on and sign for Albacete.

While his transfer was announced earlier today, the youngster had already confirmed his exit with a farewell message to Real Madrid over the weekend, stating how he had fulfilled a dream by making his first-team debut for Los Blancos.

As mentioned about, Aguado has signed a three-year contract at Albacete and will hope to kickstart his professional career with the La Liga 2 club.

Aguado becomes the second player to leave Real Madrid for Albacete this summer following Jesus Vallejo, who joined the lower-division team on a free transfer.
