The staggering injury crisis facing La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Wednesday afternoon deepened ever further.
This comes amid confirmation of an injury on the part of Brahim Díaz.
Reports began to surface earlier today that attacker Brahim was the latest Real Madrid star to have picked up a fitness problem during training.
This came just hours on from Andriy Lunin being ruled out against RCD Mallorca later tonight, owing to a hand injury.
And as alluded to above, mere hours out from kick-off in Spain’s capital, Brahim’s setback has also been made official.
As per a statement across Real Madrid’s website and social media platforms:
‘Following tests today on our player, Brahim Díaz, by the Real Madrid Medical Services, has been diagnosed with an injury to the long adductor muscle in his left thigh. His progress will be monitored.’
Brahim’s blow means that Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff will be unable to call upon a whopping 12 players against Mallorca, owing to a combination of injuries and suspensions.
