Official: Real Betis confirm Vitor Roque returns to Barcelona | OneFootball

After spending seven months on loan, Vitor Roque has returned to FC Barcelona from Real Betis, the Andalusian club has officially confirmed.

This comes in lieu of the 20-year-old striker’s imminent permanent transfer to Palmeiras which is expected to be announced imminently.

“Real Betis Balompie and FC Barcelona have agreed to terminate the loan deal for striker Vitor Roque,” the official statement from Los Verdiblancos read.

“The Brazilian, who arrived last summer from FC Barcelona, leaves after playing 33 games and scoring 7 goals. The Club thanks him for his services and wishes him luck in his next professional challenges.”

Even though it has not been specified in the official statement, Barcelona have agreed to give up 30% of Ez Abde’s 50% economic rights that they still owned to Real Betis as compensation for Roque’s early return.

In addition, it is speculated that Manuel Pellegrini’s side have also acquired a preferential option to sign a youth player from Barça in the summer.

With Roque’s loan deal getting terminated, he should soon sign for Palmeiras in a deal that would see Barcelona pocket €25.5 million plus another €5 million in add-ons.
