The squad of players set to be depended upon by La Liga giants Real Madrid to get the better of city rivals Atlético has on Monday been unveiled.

The latest edition of the Madrid Derby, of course, is set to play out on Tuesday night.

Shifting focus away from the battle for supremacy in the Spanish top-flight, and back towards matters on the continent, the two sides will lock horns in the first leg of a Champions League Last-16 clash.

Real Madrid will act as hosts in the matchup, eyeing a return to winning ways after a disappointing weekend defeat at the hands of Real Betis.

And as alluded to above, a short time ago, the group of players entrusted by Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff for the matchup was unveiled online.

The headline inclusion comes in the form of Federico Valverde, who appears to have been cleared to play his part after sitting out Real’s last three outings with a fitness problem.

Missing out, on the other hand, is midfield partner Jude Bellingham, owing to suspension.
