Eddie Howe hoping to see his team follow up the wins over Chelsea, Arsenal and Forest.

Only a point off third place, Newcastle United will know by pre-match on Monday night just how high they will go in the table, if making it four wins in a row.

Official Newcastle United injury update – Availability for the West Ham match (and beyond):

Eddie Howe on Callum Wilson:

“He’s doing well.

“We anticipate he’s going to train with the group today.

“Whether he’s quite there for West Ham, let’s see.

“But he has to get through the next few days in training first.

“We need to learn from previous issues we had and try and keep him on the pitch.”

Eddie Howe on Kieran Trippier:

“He’s slightly closer than Callum [Wilson].

“He trained well yesterday [Thursday] and felt good.

“No ill effects, looked sharp.

“That was his first day of training so again, we’re in a similar position in that right at the end of the rehab you’ve got to navigate the last few days well.”

Eddie Howe on Emil Krafth:

“Emil has had an operation.

“We anticipate he’s going to be out for six to eight weeks.

“It’s a big blow to us to lose Emil who has been such a consistent performer.”

Jamaal Lascelles remains out of course and also Sven Botman, although this past week has seen it confirmed that the Dutch defender is now back in training and working towards a playing return, after his long absence following surgery.

Dan Burn misses this West Ham match due to picking up a one match ban, after a fifth PL booking of the season at Forest.
