Neil El Aynaoui has officially signed with AS Roma on the evening of Sunday, July 20, 2025. The Moroccan player has put pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Serie A club after successfully completing his medical.

It's now official! Neil El Aynaoui is an AS Roma player and is set to embark on his first adventure in Italy. The Italian club announced the Moroccan's arrival yesterday, following several weeks of negotiations. After an initial offer was rejected, the Giallorossi had to pay €23.5 million plus €1.5 million in bonuses, along with a percentage of any future resale profit, to convince the Sang et Or to part with their 24-year-old midfielder.

"Neil El Aynaoui joins AS Roma. After two seasons of mutual attachment with the Lens supporters, the midfielder now joins the legendary Italian club in a transfer. The club thanks Neil and wishes him all the best for the future," wrote RC Lens.

The agreement is for a contract running until 2030. Having come through the ranks at Nancy before moving to RC Lens in 2023, El Aynaoui will now continue his development in Serie A after two solid seasons in Ligue 1.
