Officiel : Marseille renvoie Bamo Meité en prêt à Lorient

It's a homecoming for Bamo Meïté. After a challenging spell with Montpellier in the second half of last season, the Ivorian defender is returning to the Merlus squad.

Olympique de Marseille has loaned the centre-back to Lorient for the 2025-2026 season. The deal includes a purchase option.

"Already well known to Lorient fans, Meïté completed his development at the club after joining the Merlus in 2021 from Stade Lavallois. Before signing with Marseille, Meïté played 19 matches for Lorient in Ligue 1," the club's statement read.

While still under contract with the Olympians until 2028, the young defender returns to Brittany to continue his progression.
