Official: Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Pedri, Lewandowski nominated for 2025 Ballon d’Or | OneFootball

With the Ballon d’Or nominees for 2025 being announced, FC Barcelona have as many as four players in contention to win the top individual honour for a footballer.

Indeed, Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Pedri have all made the top-30 nominations list for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.

Over the years, Barça have seen Lionel Messi dominate the Ballon d’Or awards, winning the prestigious accolade a record eight times.

But, the Catalans have not housed a winner of the award since 2019, when Messi won it for the seventh time.

As such, they will hope for a change this year, with Lamine Yamal, Pedri, and Raphinha among contenders for the Golden Orb.

All of the players were an integral part of the team’s domestic treble success under Hansi Flick, who himself has been nominated for the Men’s Coach of the Year prize.

However, the Barcelona players will face some serious competition from the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Achraf Hakimi, both of whom won the treble last season along with their PSG teammates, Vitinha and Joao Neves, among others.

Real Madrid duo Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe are also nominated for the honour, as are Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Alexis Mac Allister and Florian Wirtz.

Meanwhile, on the women’s side, Barcelona Femeni have as many as six nominees for the 2025 Women’s Ballon d’Or.

Indeed, Aitana Bonmati, who has won the award in the last two years, is again in contention, along with Patri Guijarro, Caroline Graham Hansen, Alexia Putellas, Ewa Pajor, and Claudia Pina.
