Raffaele Di Gennaro has been back at Inter Milan since the summer of 2023.

The Italian came through Inter’s youth ranks. And he was under contract with the Nerazzurri until 2019, although he never made an appearance for the club during that time.

In 2019, Di Gennaro left to join Catanzaro, where he would find playing them.

Subsequently, the Inter youth academy graduate would join a few different clubs. Among these were Gubbio. And that is the club that he re-joined Inter from in 2023.

Inter Milan did not bring Di Gennaro back with any intention of him playing much.

The 31-year-old is a third-choice keeper, rather. Therefore, he has an important role behind the scenes and in the dressing room.

This is particularly the case considering Di Gennaro’s longstanding personal connection with Inter.

Di Gennaro’s previous contract with Inter had run out at the end of June. However, as the club have announced, the 31-year-old has signed a one-year bumper deal.

Therefore, Di Gennaro is now under contract with the Nerazzurri until the end of June 2026.

Raffaele Di Gennaro has made one Serie A appearance for Inter. He played in a match against Hellas Verona, the Nerazzurri’s last match of the 2023-24 season.
