Official: Barcelona announce new five-year sleeve sponsorship agreement starting from 2026/27

FC Barcelona have officially confirmed a new sponsorship deal with Chinese home appliance giant Midea.

The company, which is well known worldwide for its household products and particularly for air conditioning systems, will take over the sleeve sponsorship on Barcelona’s first-team shirt and training kits.

Currently, the sleeve space is occupied by Ambilight, the Philips television brand produced by TP Vision.

However, starting from the 2026/27 season, Midea will step in as Barcelona’s Main Partner and Official Home Appliances Partner.

The agreement will run for five seasons, lasting until the 2030/31 campaign. According to the club’s official statement, Midea’s sponsorship will officially be activated from 1 July 2026.

Reports suggest that Barcelona will earn around €12 million per season from this partnership, a figure that will provide a significant boost to the club’s commercial revenues.

Midea expands its football footprint

Midea is not new to football partnerships. The brand already has a strong presence in the game, notably as a sponsor of Manchester City.

The company has carried out various campaigns with the Premier League champions, including LED lighting installations at the Etihad Stadium and several fan-focused digital projects.

Barcelona vice-president Rafa Yuste expressed his excitement about the deal, saying: “It will be an honour for FC Barcelona to incorporate Midea, starting from the 2026/27 season, into the great Barça family.

“Its leadership in the field of smart home solutions and its vocation for research and innovation align perfectly with the character of an FC Barcelona that projects itself into the future.”

By bringing Midea on board, Barcelona continue to expand their global reach and reinforce their financial base.
