Davide Frattesi isn’t the only player who Inter Milan are hoping can be their super sub in the Champions League final against PSG.
Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, highlight how the Nerazzurri’s bench could be a real factor next Saturday.
There aren’t too many doubts about who the starters will be for Inter Milan in next weekend’s Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi has a fairly tried-and-tested starting eleven.
However, the Inter coach is also very reliant on substitutions in the second halves of matches.
Inzaghi has gained a real reputation for making changes like clockwork. And for using all five substitution slots at his disposal.
Over ninety minutes against PSG, there’s little doubt that the Inter coach will want to keep his team fresh over ninety exhausting minutes.
And in particular, if the tie goes the distance, Inzaghi will be ready to make changes in extra time. There would even be the possibility of a sixth substitution then.

Inzaghi has already used his bench effectively in the Champions League this season.
The most eye-catching example has been the impact made by Davide Frattesi.
Frattesi scored a crucial goal against Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals. And then he scored an even bigger goal with the all-important extra time winner against Barcelona in the next round.
Frattesi is not a player Inzaghi seems to particularly trust as a starter. However, when matches get stretched and the Inter coach needs fresh legs, energy, and goal threat, the 25-year-old can shine.
Therefore, it would be unwise to rule out Frattesi being the super sub against PSG on Saturday.
However, the Corriere note, Frattesi is far from the only player Inzaghi could bring on to good effect.
Nicola Zalewski has also proven to be an impact substitute who can give Inter fresh legs and a different look.
The Polish international has pace, stamina, and dribbling ability that can change the game. He is also versatile enough to play on either flank, or in attacking midfield.

Then, the Corriere name Carlos Augusto as another potential impact sub. Wingback is a position where Inzaghi tends to make changes, as the wide players tire during the second half.
And Augusto’s performance in the first leg of Inter’s semifinal tie against Bayern Munich demonstrated exactly what he can offer.
In attack, meanwhile, the Corriere anticipate that Mehdi Taremi could be Inter’s super sub.
The Iranian came on in both legs against Barcelona. Between his tireless defensive effort, holdup play, and his assist for Frattesi’s second leg winner, he could be just what Inter need to see out the final.
