"Nostalgia for the past"... Real Madrid announces its third jersey for next season.

Spanish giants Real Madrid have unveiled their third kit for the upcoming season in collaboration with German sports giant Adidas, the club's official sponsor.

Where did the idea come from and what is its symbolism?

To celebrate the 74th anniversary of the birth of the German sports giant, Adidas wanted to launch something special for Real Madrid. As it did with Arsenal, AS Roma, and Bayern Munich, Adidas designed a dark blue kit, similar to the distinctive navy, to be Real Madrid's third kit.

This time, Adidas focused on making the shirt's color somewhat similar to one of the colors of the Bernabéu's foldable seats. They also added a clover plant, Adidas' old logo, to give a sense of the 1980s and that era.
