The Manchester City squad returned to training today to continue the second stage of their pre-season. Manchester City’s FIFA Club World Cup campaign was considered the beginning of City’s pre-season for the 25/26 season. A new report has emerged that indicates that no player has been left out of City’s training session today. Despite players such as Jack Grealish, James McAtee and others appearing likely to leave the club this summer they have reported for training today.

Simon Bajkowski has reported for Manchester Evening News that no member of the City squad was left out of their pre-season training session today. Furthermore, Bajkowski reports that despite being left out of Manchester City’s FIFA Club World Cup squad James McAtee and Jack Grealish have reported for training today. Both players are considered likely to leave City later this summer. But they have begun training with their teammates once again. This shows that despite their futures likely lying elsewhere they are still welcome members of City’s squad.

No further updates from City training have emerged as of yet.

Outside of who joined the Manchester City squad for training today no other updates have emerged at this stage. One of the biggest points of interest surrounded Rodri’s fitness. Manchester City’s midfield general sustained a minor injury concern at the FIFA Club World Cup. It is believed that the injury wasn’t serious. An update could potentially emerge during the week regarding Rodri’s fitness.
