After weeks of speculation and reported agreement with FC Barcelona Nico Williams's finally opened up about his shock decision to renew his contract with Athletic Bilbao until 2035.

In interview with Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish international said:

"I’m incredibly excited. We've long season ahead with ambitious goals including the Champions League , every player dreams of winning it"

He added:
