Newcastle have splashed out ahead of their Champions League return by sealing a massive money move for Nottingham Forest's Anthony Elanga.

The 23-year-old arrives on Tyneside for a £55m fee after weeks of negotiations with Forest and has signed a five-year deal.

Elanga starred for Forest across the last two year and has shone at the City Ground after the arrival of Nuno Espírito Santo.

He scored six times and provided 11 assists last season in what proved to be a breakout campaign.

The Swedish international will form part of an exciting attack along with compatriot Alexander Isak.
